Want to start off the new year right? According to Lana Shlafer of the Huffington Post, ending this year right is actually more important than only focusing on the impending new year. By ending the year with an intention ceremony, we can see what we achieved this year and set our intentions for the next year. She suggests setting aside 30 minutes to reflect and declare. Start off by creating a sacred space, light a candle or burn some incense. Next center yourself by meditating or doing some deep breathing. After you feel centered reflect on your intentions from this year, and review whether you accomplished them or not. Follow by writing down your highlights from this year. Next declare what you want for yourself in the next year, include all aspects of your life. Do not be afraid to share your intentions, in fact this helps keep you in line with them. Make this a fun activity and invite some like-minded friends! Wishing you a Happy New Year!
